COMPANY ON THE MOVE: TKH IMAGING

Lower Than China Pricing.  You have seen these words in the TKH ads, T shirts and Trade Show banners.  Throughout the past decade, the readers of ENX Magazine have learned to Trust Keith Harris to speak the uncensored truth.  Through the partnering with Keith Harris’s companies, profit-minded resellers are able to successfully compete with the big guys.

“Our business model continues to change,” Keith explains.  “We know we are meeting industry needs because of our phenomenal growth over the past eighteen months.   281% growth is a huge number.  We have now expanded our remanufacturing facilities to a 28,000 square foot facility in Brea, California. Through the continuing support and partnership with Benny Adeva’s ABD Office Machines, TKH is able to stay abreast with the cutting edge of printer equipment technology.”

“Every member of the TKH staff appreciates the ongoing support of our loyal resellers.  They have enabled TKH to increase the number of products offered while sustaining superior quality and high print volume capabilities.  Our turnaround time, from initial custom order to shipping is extremely competitive.  We have expanded our manufacturing capabilities to offer more than the traditional cartridge remanufacturers’ ‘Basic 60’ most popular imported products.  TKH has become a boutique-compatible remanufacturer offering custom packaging options and special order short runs of hard-to-obtain cartridges.”

Keith Harris continues, “TKH has the ability to custom manufacture hundreds of the other products our resellers can’t acquire from the Big 5.   By listening to the needs of those resellers who buy from us, we discovered a niche product line that was being ignored by the big remanufacturers.  Our resellers were having a difficult time sourcing quality compatibles for the 2nd tier of printers.  The harder a compatible product is to find, the greater the potential profit margin that can be received on the retail market.”

TKH has set up their production schedule to be able to custom manufacture most products with a minimum run of 25 cartridges.  This is true for color and monochrome.  Keith reiterates, “If we can access the empties, we can refill the cartridges with a quality product with a very fast turnaround time.”

Keith describes their process.  “We have no standard assembly line.  Our staff is well trained to build a cartridge from start to finish.  This ‘cell’ type of production not only increases quality, but we are able to build a large variety of cartridges, from the most simple to the most complex.  Every cartridge is machine-tested.  If a specific cartridge does not pass our stringent Quality Control acceptance requirements, it is returned to the technician who built it.   By taking personal responsibility for every cartridge produced, the production crew continues to perfect their remanufacturing skills.”

“Our quality can compete equally with any remanufacturing company.  Our production crew is headed by 2 expert laser cartridge veterans with a combined 18 years of hands-on experience of remanufacturing toner cartridges.  Additionally, through the partnership of Benny Adeva’s ABD Office Machines, the knowledge and support of the ABD certified Xerox, HP, Brother and Canon copier and printer technical engineers enable TKH to obtain consistent quality and technical backup.  The results are high quality toner cartridges that you can trust.”

Keith continues to explain TKH’s manufacturing philosophy.  “With each technician taking ownership of the quality of the laser units they produce, we build cartridges other companies do not offer.  Our experienced purchasing department obtains high-quality color toner and other needed components for proper remanufacturing.  This enables our skilled staff to manufacture almost any cartridge you need.  We urge you to always give TKH a call to inquire about any needed cartridge.”

After years of doing business directly with the Asian sellers, Keith Harris’s goal is to ‘Stop China Now’ by consistently offering ‘Lower Than China Pricing.’

“Our buyers are acutely aware of the how quickly the playing field changes.  The US cartridge remanufacturing market is in an enormous state of flux.  Purchases, joint ventures, takeovers, buyouts, bankruptcies, etc. have become common events.  We believe that an honest approach is needed to create solidarity between the manufacturer and the reseller. Through an in depth analysis, we created a table and compared domestic production to imported product costs.  We understand labor from China is much cheaper.  However, the cost involved for Chinese marketers to import and export empties and raw materials is much higher than what TKH has been able to negotiate domestically.”

Early this year, Joe Montagnino joined TKH in a newly created position of General Manager.  TKH’s continuous growth required a proven expert to manage their manufacturing process.  Joe has earned the Six Sigma Certification and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.   His commitment to total quality manufacturing includes exceptional consistency, efficient production standards and logics superiority.  Through the use of statistical process control, variations are minimized, increasing productivity and the overall quality of each manufactured product.  Each of TKH production workers are dedicated to creating total customer satisfaction by following the standards Joe Montagnino represents.

Joe explains, “I am committed to creating a manufacturing atmosphere that will consistently provide a wide range of color and monochrome products to the USA market at ‘Lower Than China Pricing.’  TKH’s manufacturing technicians are trained to produce each product in a ‘cell’ system.  Each individual cartridge is completely built by one trained production line technician.  The tolerance level of this controlled production process is much higher than those of traditional assembly lines.  This systematic, procedural process ensures that each component of the compatible cartridge retains its integrity.  The technical knowledge and professionalism of Benny Adeva’s staff is a huge asset when we test quality of customized special order cartridges.”

Norm Hutton has been promoted to head up the Data Tape Division of TKH.  Norm can help your company expand into the reconditioned data tapes market.  Memory tapes can provide an additional profit center for resellers who already have a compatibles purchasing relationship with their endusers.  The use of degaussed tapes provides a viable savings to the enduser.  Think back to the days of home videotape recording usage.  Would you throw away a videotape after only one use?  During the degaussing process, TKH technicians clean, inspect, test and erase re-sellable tapes.  Most end-users who buy compatible printer products are potential users of reconditioned backup memory tapes.

TKH continues to grow its reputation for providing a large variety of standard and boutique compatible products.  Over 60% of TKH Imaging’s production is color cartridges.  Resellers are encouraged to expand their product line and bottom line.  Call or email TKH today to be put on their weekly special email list.  TKH is ready and able to custom manufacture the hard-to-find compatibles you need.

You can continue to Trust Keith Harris and all the professionals at TKH to ‘Stop China Now’ by providing ‘Lower Than China Pricing’ on an extensive line of quality color and monochrome compatible products.  u by Ronelle Ingram
