22. Any agreement that involves meter reads has a high administrative cost.

23. The minimum internal cost of each billing cycle is $20 to $75.

24. If you send a tech to get meter reads, servicing costs are highly escalated.

25. Meter counts are not critical when selling an agreement on print-based equipment that only includes travel, labor and non-consumable parts.

26. A consumable is any part that the manufacturer has given a click or time life span.

27. Black clicks made on a color machine are more expensive to service than black clicks on a monochrome machine.

28. Consider selling color CPC agreements with only black supplies being included. Color supplies are to be purchased separately. Color supplies can include just toner or developer and drums.  Pricing can start at .025 per any click for combined black and color clicks.

29. When selling color equipment, there must be at least one minimum cost.  Ideally there are both a black minimum with overage cost and a color minimum with overage cost.

30. Your agreement must allow for yearly increases.  If not, you must use a 3rd year average when pricing a 60 month lease. Factor in yearly increases when establishing the price.

31. Use the word ‘click’ not copy or print on your agreement.  This allows for additional charges when running 2 sided or larger sized paper.

32. Always set machine meter defaults to 8.5 X 11 for each click.

33. Exclude network administration from all basic contracts.

34. Exclude external covers, trays, added devices and staplers from being covered.  Make sure your staff charges for the excluded items.
