COMPANY ON THE MOVE: E-Toner Mart The goal of E-Toner Mart is to economically fulfill all your laser cartridge, ink, and toner needs. In addition to providing the finest-quality color and black compatible toner cartridge products, E-Toner Mart also sells genuine new OEM products from manufacturers like Xerox, Dell, IBM, Canon, and Hewlett-Packard. Kwok explains: “One of us travels to our factory in China about every other month. This allows us to interact with our workers and suppliers on a regular basis. We know our costs and our production schedules and understand the logistics of getting the product from China to the United States in a timely manner. We know and understand the cultural requirements of working in both China and America. “With clients in both the United States and China, we’re able to maximize our productivity,” says Kwok. “This, in turn, lowers our overhead. Our pricing reflects the savings we’re able to make by eliminating the middleman. Most of the genuine, new OEM toners and ink are also imported from Asia. Controlling the importation costs allows E-Toner Mart to extend heavily discounted prices, compared to the prices charged by those buying directly from the OEM. With their personal partnership in the remanufacturing plant in China, both men have ultimate control of what the company sells in the United States. “It is the perfect combination,” explains Kwok. “We decide what products are going to be manufactured each day. We’ve made the decision to quality test every cartridge before it’s boxed and prepared for shipping. We insisted on our plant earning its ISO9001 certification. We schedule our shipping dates for containers, so we always have enough product on hand to meet our clients’ needs. “We’re currently selling in China as well as in North America,” continues Kwok. “Our ultimate goal is to expand into Europe and South America.
