Subject: Canon NP 6545

Question:  Display says insert unit 1.  I've opened & closed anything I could see.  Any ideas?  I service Konica Minolta.  Customers brought this one over from an out of state office.

Answer:   Right behind the #1 handle.  Remove the cover.  There is micro switch there that tells the machine that the drawer is closed.  Either it's out of position or I've seen the wire break.

Question:  I'll give that a try. Thanks.  where is the micro switch when the cover is off?

Answer:  If I remember right, it's on the right side.  Just follow the wires leading into that area behind the #1 handle.

Subject: Blacks not solid fill

Question:  I have a Di850 at a printing shop that isn't printing solid blacks.  The original is really solid to the point were it reflects light  very easily.  I have checked Mag roller bias at .70 ohms.  Cleaned corona contact connections in machine and on drum assy.  Cleaned entire machine.  Drum, Starter, and all coronas have 330k on them.  Will be going back to run test patterns.  Amy suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Answer:  That di850 is a great box and will out perform any Ricoh.  I would try new starter first.

Answer:  Humid paper? :-)  Check the resistance of the mag roller bearings.

Subject:  Toshiba 6570 LCC

Question:  I am working on a 6570 and the Icc will not lift.  I have already checked the fuses and service mode 8-382.  What should I try next?

Answer:  Tried looking at the gears?  Most of the trouble of this kind is broken gears near the motor.  Good luck.

Answer:  Have you tried 03 (271) tray lift motor up/down?  Is the paper under the tray on lower switch?  Cables come off?  If no power, check fuses again, all on power supplies, don't have a book to look up correct fuse.  Good luck.  P.S. Did you put 08 (382) to "0"?

Answer:  Assuming that all gears are ok, I can't remember if this model has an Icc lock code...08-something. or not.

Answer:  The motor gear that drives the belt tends to come loose, Allen screw will come loose, I would check the also, can you hear the motor run?  Good luck.

Subject:  Toshiba E-45 ADF

Question:  I have 2 of the Toshiba e-studio 45's that tha ADF will sometimes eat the originals.  Is this due to the feed being worn out and catch the corners?

Answer:  Check your Mylar's  two little ones will wear out and catch the corners.

Answer: Agree with heaps ins.  Check 6LA56708000 Gate-SB-in.

Subject:  Minolta ep2030

Question:  This machine gives me error c05 at power up, how do I fix the problem, and clear the code.  Minolta ep2050 error c0070.  Please give me the fix for this also.  Thanks.

Answer:  co5 is fuser code reset trouble switch on pwb a.  Co70 is toner motor.

Answer:  I have seen many c070 and all I ever did to resolve this issue is clean and rebuild the toner hopper.
