Metrofuser Holds Food Drive To Support,,Community Bank of New Jersey

What:  The public can help combat hunger, and compete for a cash prize, in New Jersey by donating canned food items.   

Hillside, N.J.  ­­– Metrofuser is taking action to fight hunger in New Jersey by offering a $100 prize for the largest donation at its office in Roselle.

The general public can donate at any time Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The company will post a chart of the largest donors and award the prize after January 1, 2010.

Most wanted food items include canned meats, fish, chili, fruit, vegetables as well as peanut butter and boxed meals. Glass containers and cellophane should be avoided.

Donations outside New Jersey can be accepted at your local food bank at feedingamerica.org

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey is reporting that need for food is up 30 percent throughout the state at its partner agencies – soup kitchens, pantries, shelters, etc. – and this event is taking aim at the problem.  Learn more about Metrofuser at www.metrofuser.com.
