Copier Dealers, get your machines
there without all the legwork.
If you are located in Southern California or East Texas there is a
unique Copier Transport service available to you. Business
Solutions Transport specializes in moving and installing copiers.
They also provide your customers with a brief demonstration on how
to use your copier.
“We eliminate
the dealers’ need to send out a technician to follow up the
install. We save companies salaries, Worker’s Comp, gas, mileage,
car insurance, etc. When businesses eliminate their own truck and
use an outside source, it eliminates a lot of overhead costs,” said
founder and CEO of Business Solutions Transport, James Peifter.
Business
Solutions Transport services a two hundred and fifty-mile radius
from its Gardena, CA location and a three hundred and sixty-mile
radius from its Dallas, TX facility (including parts of Oklahoma and
Louisiana). In the future, BST hopes to bridge the gap between the
two and service everything from Dallas to LA.
For local
dealerships looking to get copiers to customers without breaking
their backs, BST will deliver your copier no matter what it takes.
Stairs? No problem. Tight fit and needs a lift? BST has it covered
with their lifting and stair climbing equipment.
“We will do
whatever it takes to deliver a machine,” says Peifter. They once
moved a copier into a small room built for the existing machine.
With their maneuvering and lift equipment, BST elevated the new
machine above the countertop, installed it, and slid the old one out
the door.
Are your
customers leasing a machine? Have BST pick it up and deliver it to
your customer when they are ready. BST will simply store it
in their 10,000 sq ft facility. When the time comes they will
install the machine for your customer so that it is ready for your
technician to give the customers an in-depth overview of the
machine.
Not only can BST
deliver to your customers the copier they need when they need it,
they are professionals. They are “clean cut” and wear embedded polo
shirts to every job. BST understands the importance that your
customers see your copier in hands they can trust; they value your
customers’ first impressions. “We represent our dealers not BST,”
said Peifter.
While appearance
is important to BST, what distinguishes them in the industry is
their quality. If something happens in the field they take care of
it. If a copier is damaged in a move they replace the part.
Peifter assures customers, “If there’s a problem and we do damage a
machine, we will promptly get it fixed.”
If there is a
copier your technician needs to check, don’t wait until it is at
your customer’s facility. Have your technician meet up with the
copier at BST’s 800 sq ft tech shop. Each of its 6
workstations has a dedicated twenty-amp circuit, three 208 dedicated
lines and networking with a 12-port hub.
A technicians
dream? Maybe. BTS lets you worry about servicing your customer
while they get your copier up and running. Your technicians’
presentations will become much more personal and customer friendly,
because they will be able to focus on the customer. Let BTS handle
the initial set-up.
New to BST? If
you have never used BST’s service, they are offering dealers 20% off
when you mention the ad in this month’s ENX!
Balance your
costs and save using BST to move your machines, so you can quit
breaking your back and start scratching your customers’.
Background
James Peifter, a
certified technician for Toshiba and Panasonic, founded Business
Solutions Transport in 1999 after being in the copier business for
thirteen years. He was moving copiers for an alternate copier
delivery service when he realized that he could offer the service to
dealers better himself.
After deciding
to go for it, he mortgaged his house and sub-leased 600 sq ft of
warehouse space from a friend. It took about 30 days total to come
up with the proper equipment, trucks, and staff of five to begin.
One of the five is James’ wife, Theresa, who is the CFO and in
charge of HR, “she’s my only partner,” said Peifter.
Six months
later, BST moved into a 2000 sq ft facility. Business continued to
grow and the company expanded a year later to a 4,000 sq ft facility
that held them for only 6 months. Today, their 10,000 sq ft
facility serves them well and business is good. With 25 employees in
CA and 6 in TX BST is moving more copiers than ever.
The biggest move
they’ve made so far for one client is 860 copiers in two and a half
weeks. Two trucks a day carried the copiers to their new location.
That’s 34 copiers per trip. “We did all the legwork. All they had
to do was send a technician in. The equipment was set up and ready
to go. They didn’t have to send their warehouse guys out there or
deal with all the trash that 800 machines accumulate. It really
saved them a lot of time and money.”
What travels
faster than BST copiers, perhaps, are its recommendations. Word of
mouth has carried the company. It is the only advertising they’ve
ever had aside from the branding of their trucks, until this year’s
ENX ad.
Future
Expansion is
what the future holds for this company. With a strong customer base
to work with including Canon Business Solutions and Danka, BST is
looking forward to widening its scope to service the Bay Area in
California along with the more extensive venture of connecting
transport between its Dallas and Gardena facilities.
This will allow
copiers to be sent and stored between the two cities offering
dealers of all sizes a chance at competing for business away from
home. The internet may make the world a smaller place as far as
business is concerned, but BST gets you there. They take your
copier to its location and set it up.
Your
technician’s job just got 5 times easier and more importantly,
faster. He/ She can make more service stops a day, giving a
presentation of the copier to your customers not breaking down boxes
and unwrapping copier pieces. Isn’t customer service your main
concern? Maybe basic set-up shouldn’t be.
If you need to
move copiers and you haven’t tried BST, compare them to your current
service. And don’t forget to mention the BST ad when you call to
receive an additional 20% off your first order. Pricing is based on
the weight of your machine and the number of miles that it travels.
There are also deals for multi-machine shipments. |
